Speaking Club on combating gender-based violence
Odesa State University of Internal Affairs hosted a regular Speaking Club for higher education students on the topic of «Preventing and Combating Gender-Based Violence, including Domestic Violence».
The expert at the meeting was Jan Dancho (Slovakia), EUAM Community Policing Adviser / Trainer, who shared his experience in implementing effective mechanisms of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the public to prevent domestic violence.
The event discussed current challenges in the field of gender security, international practices of combating domestic violence, and the role of future law enforcement officers in protecting victims.
The Speaking Club at OSUIA is already a good tradition that has become an integral part of the educational process. Such meetings are held regularly to improve communication competence and develop a modern understanding of global security challenges.
