Extended Meeting of the “Fahivets” Club
On 12 February, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs held the next extended meeting of the “Fahivets” club on the topic: “Countering Organized Crime.”
The meeting was dedicated to the 104th anniversary of the university’s founding.
The event was attended by Colonel of Police Dmytro Ivushkin, Head of the Department for Combating Group Crime and Solving Crimes Targeting Citizens’ Equal Rights of the National Police of Ukraine in Odesa Region.
As is traditional, the club meeting also included participation from research associate Olha Kosarevska, Dean of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation of the National Police of Ukraine Anton Halay, and the club head, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, lawyer Viktor Yarosh.
Students had a unique opportunity to gain new knowledge, ask the guest pressing questions about law enforcement activities, and receive comprehensive, professional answers.
During the meeting, participants discussed the importance of strict and consistent observance of human and civil rights during inquiry, pre-trial investigation, and operational-search activities.
