Meeting with the head of the Odesa sub-delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross
А working meeting was held at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs between the university’s first vice rector, Police Colonel Maksym Korniienko, and the head of the Odesa sub-delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Diana Stoecklin (Switzerland).
The event was also attended by Vladyslav Petrashchuk, senior psychologist at the ICRC, and representatives of the organization – Oleksandr Kozachko and Mykyta Kolpak. During the meeting, guests were given a presentation on the university’s facilities and equipment and taken on a tour of the main locations used for training students.
During a constructive dialogue, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation between the university and the International Committee of the Red Cross. In particular, they discussed the implementation of joint educational and research-based projects aimed at improving the professional training of future law enforcement officers.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of initiatives aimed at psychoeducation, the development of psychological resilience, and the promotion of mental health among students and university staff. The organization of thematic seminars and training sessions on international humanitarian law – a topic of critical importance in today’s world – was also discussed.
