A professor from OSUIA took part in a training session for law professors

Daria BALOBANOVA, Doctor of Law and professor in the Department of Criminal Law at OSUIA, participated in a training session for law faculty titled «Integrating Human Rights Standards and the Rule of Law into Legal Education».

The event was organized as part of the Council of Europe projects «Supporting Ukraine in Implementing Council of Europe Standards on the Judiciary» and «HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) for Ukraine, Including During the War», Phase 2, in cooperation with the project «Improving the Quality of Justice by Strengthening the Role of the Supreme Court in Ensuring Transparent, Accountable, and Inclusive Justice» of the OSCE Support Program for Ukraine, and was held in the village of Polyana, Zakarpattia Oblast.

 

 

Over the course of three days, law professors from various Ukrainian universities discussed challenges related to the integration of human rights and the rule of law into legal education, as well as teaching methods for these subjects in higher education.
