Presentation of the popular science publication «OSUIA. Learning to the sound of air raid sirens»

June 6, as part of the All-Ukrainian exhibition-forum «Ukrainian Books in Odesa Region», a presentation was held for the popular science publication «OSUIA: Learning to the Sound of Air Raid Sirens», dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the university's founding.

The book is an illustrated popular science publication that provides information about the life and activities of the university, which has continued to operate since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of our country by the russian federation. In addition to educational, scientific, and sporting achievements, the chronicle contains the poetic works of university teachers and students. The uniqueness of the publication lies in its augmented reality photos that come to life.

The photo chronicle was presented and its history was recounted by the deputy chairman of the editorial board, first vice-rector of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Law, Police Colonel Maksym Korniienko, and the founder and director of the «Helvetica» publishing house, Oleh Holovko.

The speakers at the presentation were Oleh Shkuta, Director of the Institute of Law and Security, Viktoriia Tomina, Head of the Legal Clinic, and Yana Prenko, Head of the International Cooperation Department.

Iryna Biriukova, Director General of the Odesa National Scientific Library and Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, presented the university with a diploma for winning the «Best Book of the Exhibition-Forum» competition in the «Scientific and Artistic Publication» category.

During the presentation, an exhibition of printed works by the scientific and teaching staff and periodicals of the university was displayed.
