Presentation of an art exhibition at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs
Аn art exhibition dedicated to the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, «Women, Peace, and Security», and the implementation of Ukraine’s national gender policy was presented at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs for university students.
The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the role of women in peacebuilding, security, and post-conflict reconstruction, as well as to raise awareness among students regarding the practical significance of international and national mechanisms for gender equality.
The following speakers addressed the audience with welcoming remarks:
Tetiana Semikop, Coordinator of the Coalition 1325 in Odesa Region;
Oleh Fedorchenko, Deputy Director of the Institute of Law and Security;
Liubov Berezovenko, Assistant to the University Rector for Gender Issues;
Olena Kovalova, Professor in the Department of Police Administration;
Andrii Kovban, Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Law.
In their remarks, the speakers emphasized the importance of promoting the provisions of Resolution 1325, developing gender competence among higher education students, and fostering a culture of equality and mutual respect in the educational environment.
