Representatives of OSUIA took part in the competition for veterans «On the Wave»
The city of Odesa hosted the «On the Wave» veterans' competition in adaptive sports, namely: wheelchair basketball, rowing on exercise machines, archery, and boccia.
Over 100 veterans gathered from different parts of Ukraine to demonstrate their strength of spirit, endurance, and athletic prowess.
Odesa State University of Internal Affairs was worthily represented by:
Serhii Kozachenko, assistant to the rector for work with veterans, who, as part of the team, took third place in wheelchair basketball and third place in rowing on exercise machines;
Andrii Delihioz, lecturer at the Department of Professional and Special Disciplines, who took second place in wheelchair basketball as part of the team.
Cadets of OSUIA, who performed volunteer duties and helped in the conduct of the competition, actively participated in the organization and support of the participants.
The event not only became a platform for sports rehabilitation and communication of veterans, but also testified to the importance of supporting the heroes who defended our state.
