Representatives of OSUIA took part in the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championship

Odesa hosted more than 200 participants at the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championship for veterans, military personnel, and civilians.

The event was organized by the Odesa Regional Federation for Veteran Support and Adaptive Sports, the Powerlifting Federation, the Odesa Regional State Administration, and the Odesa City State Administration.

 

 

Ruslan Prykhodko, Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

 

 

The competition was attended by representatives of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs – veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war who currently work at the university, staff members, as well as students and cadets.

 

 

The participants competed in the following events: one-rep bench press, multiple-rep bench press, and deadlift.

 

 

Competition results:

 

Maksym Yakovlev, a student at the Institute of Law and Security at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, took first place and met the Master of Sports standard in the Military category;

 

Yaroslav Burenko, a student at the Institute of Law and Security, won the deadlift event.
