Practical training on the topic «Tactics of investigative examination and inspection»
Professor Mykola Yankovyi of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics held a practical class on «Tactics of Investigative Inspection and Examination» for cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine of OSUIA.
Practical workers from the Odesa police departments took an active part in the training. In particular, police captain Ivan Perebyinos, a forensic specialist from Police Station No. 1 of the Odesa region Police Department No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region, familiarized participants with the procedure for involving a forensic specialist in the examination of the scene and conducting other investigative (search) activities; the specifics of identifying and seizing material evidence; forensic rules for handling material evidence; safety measures during the seizure of individual items, etc.
Senior Police Lieutenant Olena Topal, Human Rights Inspector at Police Station No. 1 of the Odesa region Police Department No. 1, spoke about the specifics of organizing human rights work by police officers.
In addition, Police Major Vadym Kryvoruchenko, Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Department of Odesa region Police Department No. 1, spoke about the capabilities of a modern mobile forensic laboratory and demonstrated various types of forensic kits used to examine crime scenes.
