On April 29, a practical training session on high-altitude training was held at the climbing wall for cadets from Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

The training session was conducted by the senior instructor for parachute, airborne, and high-altitude training of the 3rd Separate Detachment of the «OMEGA» Special Purpose Center (call sign «Istoryk»).

During the training session, the cadets:

- familiarized themselves with safety procedures for working at heights;

- studied the main types of fall protection equipment;

- reviewed safety harness systems (full-body and waist);

- acquired basic knowledge regarding the use of descenders, carabiners, and other specialized equipment;

- examined and practiced the knots required for performing work at heights;

- practiced ascending and descending techniques on a climbing wall.

Special attention was paid to the inclusive aspect of the session—adapted exercises were developed for participants with injuries, in collaboration with veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war who are currently employed at the university.

Such activities help foster professional skills, resilience, and mutual support among future law enforcement officers.
