Practical Training Session for OSUIA Cadets with a Leading Practitioner-Manager
The Department of Operational and Investigative Activities of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs organized a binary practical training session for second-year cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute for the Training of Specialists for Criminal Police Units. The topic of the session was “Transformation of Organized Crime in Ukraine under Conditions of Military Aggression and the Strategy for Counteracting It by Criminal Police Units.”
A leading practitioner-manager was invited to participate in the event Colonel of Police Dmytro Ivushkin, Head of the Department for Combating Group Crime and Solving Crimes Against Equality of Citizens of the Criminal Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region.
During the session, participants thoroughly analyzed the dynamics of changes in the structure of organized criminal groups that have adapted to the conditions of prolonged military aggression.
Special attention was paid to the methodology of documenting offenses that infringe upon the equality of citizens, as well as to the role of operational officer in neutralizing attempts by hostile forces to exploit criminal elements within hybrid threats.
Cadets had the opportunity, based on real operations conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region, to examine the algorithms of actions employed by criminal police units in combating organized crime.
