Practical binary training session with the participation of military personnel National Guard of Ukraine
The Department of Professional and Special Disciplines of OSUIA held a practical binary class on the subject of «Personal Safety of Police Officers».
Stanislav Uzhenko, head of the radiation, chemical, and biological protection service of military unit 3014 of the National Guard of Ukraine, and Yevhenii Kynal, head of the combat training section of military unit 3014 of the National Guard of Ukraine, were invited to the class.
Lesson topic: «Technogenic hazards and their consequences. Radiation and chemical safety. Means of individual and collective protection».
First-year students at the Institute of Law and Security learned:
- how to use personal protective equipment (PPE) that protects against the penetration of radioactive particles: gas masks, respirators, special protective clothing;
- actions to take when working in a hazardous area;
- decontamination procedures: treatment of skin and clothing, algorithm for removing contaminated clothing and PPE in a specially designated area;
- dosimetric control to check the level of contamination.
