Practical training for cadets at OSUIA

OSUIA held a pair-based practical training session for cadets of the Educational and Research Institute for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine at the Training Complex for Police Operations in Standard and Extreme Situations.

 

The purpose of the event is to deepen practical knowledge regarding the conduct of investigative (search) activities and the documentation thereof.

 

 

Police Captain Oleksandr MELNYCHUK, Head of the Department for the Investigation of Crimes Committed in the Context of Armed Conflict at the Investigative Directorate of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region, was invited to participate in the session. He shared his practical experience in law enforcement and highlighted key aspects of investigating this category of criminal offenses.

 

 

During the session, the cadets directly practiced conducting specific investigative (search) procedures, including examining the crime scene, documenting the scene, and identifying and seizing physical evidence. The guest speaker guided the practical portion of the session, provided professional guidance, shared his own experience, and drew the cadets’ attention to common mistakes and important practical details.

 

 

The event was organized by Artem PYTOMETS, a lecturer in the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics.
