Introductory lecture by the head of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine

А meeting was held at OSUIA between the head of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine, Police General Third Rank Yurii Vykhodets, and students of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the NPU.

The meeting was held to familiarize future operational staff with the specifics of the cyber police's work, its mission, structure, and areas of activity during a full-scale war.

The main emphasis was placed on the importance of practical training in the use of information technology in combating crime and information resistance.

It highlights the specifics of combating cybercrime related to computers, networks, and telecommunications, virtual assets, blockchain technologies, and cryptocurrencies, as well as offenses committed through fraud and abuse of trust.

In conclusion, Yurii Vykhodets drew the cadets' attention to the features of the online platform «Brama», developed by the Cyber Police and aimed at improving digital security and countering cyber threats, especially disinformation and Russian propaganda.
