Students of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs took part in an extracurricular Speaking Club session held at the premises of the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine (EUAM).

The speaker of the meeting was Aristeidis Stamoulis, Senior Adviser on Border Issues and Integrated Border Management. The topic of the session, “International Cooperation. Interpol,” was aimed at deepening participants’ understanding of the mechanisms of international police cooperation and information exchange between law enforcement agencies of different countries.

During the Speaking Club, participants learned about the role of Interpol in ensuring global security and coordinating the activities of police forces worldwide.

Particular attention was paid to the functioning of the organization’s information systems, including its databases, the conditions for accessing them, as well as the types of international notices and requests used in cooperation. The concept of a “Red Notice” was also discussed as one of the key tools for the international search for wanted persons.
