OSUIA cadets took part in the ceremony “The bell of memory”

February 28, on the last day of the month, cadets of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs took part in the «The bell of memory» ceremony held around the memorial to the “Fighters for Ukraine” near the Odesa Regional Military Academy. These ceremonies are held at the initiative of the Veterans HUB ODESA, the NGO “Hearts of Mothers of Odesa Region” and the “Family of Angels of Light”.

Every February for 11 years of the war, bells have been ringing in honor of the fallen residents of Odesa Oblast communities. In this way, the memory of 174 defenders of Ukraine, including 7 female defenders, was honored. However, the first bell was dedicated to one of the initiators of the campaign, Svitlana Kyrylova, who passed away this February.

«The bell of memory» ceremony is an important reminder of the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. The participation of the cadets of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs emphasizes their respect for the feat of the defenders and their awareness of their responsibility to the country.

The event was attended by the parents of the fallen, veterans, members of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, priests, and the public. Eternal Glory to the fallen defenders of Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!
