Сadets from the Educational and Research Institute for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine’s Odesa Regional Department of Internal Affairs visited the «Service 112» Communications Center in Odesa.

This practice-oriented event was organized by the leadership of the Educational and Research Institute for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine of NPU, with the participation of representatives from the State Institution Infrastructure and Technology Center of the Ministry Of Internal Affairs Of Ukraine.

During the event, the cadets learned about the principles behind the operation of the single emergency number 112, the procedures for receiving and processing reports from the public, and the process for determining the nature of an incident and relaying information to the appropriate emergency services.

Particular attention was paid to the mechanisms of cooperation between the police, emergency responders, medical services, and other agencies, as well as the specifics of their operations under martial law.

Future police officers were shown modern information technologies that enable the prompt processing of calls, the coordination of actions by relevant units, and the timely provision of assistance to citizens.

The hands-on exercise allowed the cadets to trace the entire path of a call – from the moment it is received to the organization of an appropriate response – to deepen their theoretical knowledge and gain a practical understanding of how the emergency response system works.
