OSUIA cadets are winners of the World Cup and the European Championship in Universal Martial Arts

The World Cup and European Championships in adult universal martial arts took place in Erdemli/Mersin, Turkey, from 24 to 29 April.

 

More than 350 athletes from all over the world demonstrated fierce competition and an unbreakable thirst for victory.

 

 

As part of the national team of Ukraine, the OSUIA cadets won gold and silver at the World Cup: 

 

- Oleksandr Oschepkov, a cadet of the Faculty of Training of Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies, took 1st place in the weight category up to 70 kg; 

 

 

- Oleh Pryima, a cadet of the Faculty of Training of Specialists for Criminal Police Units, took 2nd place in the 60 kg weight category.

 

At the European Championships, the police cadets also won top awards.

 

 

Oleh Pryima became the European champion, and two cadets took second place: Oleksandr Oshchepkov won silver in the 70 kg weight category, and Valerii Vasyliev, a cadet from the Kherson Faculty, was second in the 85 kg weight category.

 

Following the competition, the Ukrainian national team won the World Cup and became the European champion.
