OSUIA Cadet Wins Prize at the Ukrainian Muay Thai Championship
From April 1 to 5, the Ukrainian Muay Thai (Thai boxing) Championship was held in the city of Dnipro.
About 250 athletes from 14 regions of the country took part in the competition.
The Odesa State University of Internal Affairs was worthily represented by second-year cadet of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine, Nikita Kuts. Demonstrating a high level of technical training, he won a silver medal in the under 57 kg weight category.
The athlete held two bouts, according to the results of which he was included in the national team of Ukraine to participate in the World Championship, which will take place in Malaysia. In addition, Nikita Kuts received the “Best Technique” award.
According to the results of the competition, the team of Odesa region took first place in the team standings.
