The team of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine conducted a practical training on the basis of OSUIA

A practical training on the topic: «International humanitarian law. The occupation regime». The event brought together applicants for higher education and teachers of OSUIA, as well as practical workers of The main department of the National Police. in the Odesa region.

The training was organized with the direct participation, cooperation and assistance of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.

The participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on the application of international humanitarian law in conditions of armed conflict, the peculiarities of the legal regime of occupation and international standards for the protection of human rights.

The speakers of the event were experienced specialists in the field of International Humanitarian Law:

Yurii Bondarchuk – volunteer trainer in international humanitarian law of the URCS, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of the Department of Economic Theory and Law of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University;

Olena Kocherhina – Coordinator for International Humanitarian Law of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, Candidate of Law, Lawyer.

During the training, the participants considered practical cases, discussed the legal basis for the state's actions in the armed conflict and discussed the current challenges facing the law enforcement system under martial law.
