The head of the State Migration Service in the Odesa region gave a lecture to students of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs
A lecture was held at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs with the participation of Olena Pohrebniak, Head of the Main Directorate of the State Migration Service in Odesa Region. The event was aimed at raising awareness among future police officers in the field of migration legislation and practical aspects of working with foreigners.
During the meeting, the speaker discussed current trends in migration policy in Ukraine and worldwide, challenges facing the state in the post-war period, and outlined the main areas of activity of the State Migration Service in controlling the legality of foreigners' stay.
Special attention was paid to issues of identification of persons, the procedure for expulsion of violators of migration legislation, and the specifics of working with refugees.
Olena Pohrebniak emphasized the importance of preserving national identity, cultural traditions, and language, as well as the need to ensure conditions for the social adaptation of foreigners legally residing in Ukraine.
