“Coffee with a Veteran” Held in the Khadzhibey District

A meeting in the format of “Coffee with a Veteran” took place in the Khadzhibey District, bringing together veterans, representatives of the city authorities, healthcare professionals, and civil society organizations for an open dialogue and the search for practical solutions.

During the event, participants discussed issues of social protection, medical care, rehabilitation, employment, and mental health support for veterans and their families. They also shared effective support mechanisms that are already available and can be accessed today.

Representatives of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs (#OSUIA) joined the meeting — veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war Serhii Kozachenko and Oleksii Ishchuk — supporting the initiative and emphasizing the importance of comprehensive assistance for the veteran community.

An inspiring speech was delivered by veteran Oleksandr Kantemyr, who demonstrated through his own example that, with the support of national and international programs, it is possible to successfully reintegrate and realize one’s potential in civilian life.
