III SEASIDE MARATHON ODESA
On April 26, Odesa hosted the «III SEASIDE MARATHON ODESA» - a large-scale charity race featuring a certified course that brought together the sports community, veterans, and city residents.
The main venues for the event were Shevchenko Avenue and Peremoha Park, where more than 700 participants tested their limits in races ranging from 5 km to the classic 42.195 km marathon. Even the youngest participants joined in, taking part in the children’s races.
A key part of the event was the «Veteran's Path 6.0» race, which traditionally brings together Ukraine's defenders.
Honoring the memory of their fallen comrades and serving as a reminder of the high price of Ukrainian freedom, the veterans marched carrying the Ukrainian national flag.
Representatives from Odesa State University of Internal Affairs – veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war – joined the opening of the event, underscoring through their presence the importance of supporting the veteran community and promoting sports initiatives.
