OSUIA hosted an optional Speaking Club session attended by university students. The event’s guest was Barry Vredeveld (Netherlands) – an advisor / trainer on community policing – relations with the EUAM.
The topic of the meeting is «A Brief Overview of the Role, Duties, and Responsibilities of Municipal Police Officers in the Netherlands».
During a live discussion, participants had the opportunity to learn about the workings of the police in the Netherlands, particularly the role of the community police officer as a liaison between the community and law enforcement agencies.
During the Speaking Club, participants discussed the key roles and responsibilities of municipal police officers, their involvement in addressing local community issues, and the importance of preventive measures.
The speaker shared practical examples, which helped participants gain a deeper understanding of the specifics of police work in a European context.
