Regular meeting of the Academic Council of OSUIA

On October 28, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the University was held. The meeting began with the presentation of Doctor of Philosophy diplomas, Doctor and Candidate of Science diplomas to applicants who successfully defended their dissertations in specialized academic councils of OSUIA, as well as certificates of associate professors to scientific and pedagogical staff of the University. The diplomas and certificates were presented by the university rector, Police Colonel Viacheslav Davydenko.

A number of personnel issues were considered, in particular, the members of the Academic Council supported the awarding of the academic title of associate professor to university employees, and also appointed Professor Vira Halunko of the Department of Police Administrative Activities as the guarantor of the educational and professional program «Law Enforcement» of the second (master's) level of higher education.

During the meeting, the Academic Council reviewed the results of the work of the admissions committee and the university's enrollment process for 2025, as reported by Oleh Shkuta, executive secretary of the admissions committee.

Oleksandr Siforov, head of the educational process organization department, reported on the results of practical training for higher education seekers.

The meeting also adopted a number of decisions regarding the organization of the educational process. In particular, these concerned changes to the form of certification for higher education applicants.

In accordance with the agenda, the Academic Council voted to establish specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and recommended scientific and educational publications for printing.

By decision of the Specialized Academic Council of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, the degree of Doctor of Law was awarded to:

Kateryna Buriak;

Marat Koval;

the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences was awarded to:

Mykhailo Ludchenko.

By decision of the Attestation Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated October 7, 2025, the academic title of associate professor was awarded to:

Anatolii Desiatnyk;

Iryna Telelym.

By decision of the one-time specialized academic councils of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty «Law» was awarded to:

Anton Halai;

Hanna Horduz;

Oleksii Nikishev.

Professor Hanna Teteriatnyk was awarded a diploma for second place in the St. Vladimir Competition, held by the Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law, for the best scientific and practical publication for her monograph «Search in Criminal Proceedings».
