Hand-to-hand combat training session

The Department of Tactical and Special Training and Special Physical Training at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, in collaboration with Yurii Chernenkyi, President of the Odesa Regional Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation, Head of the Odesa Regional Branch of the public organization «All-Ukrainian Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation of Ukraine», and 3rd-degree black belt in hand-to-hand combat, conducted a joint training session for cadets and students.

The session focused primarily on the practical application of skills in real-world work situations.

Training participants:

- practiced procedures for subduing an offender;

- practiced combining different styles to achieve maximum effectiveness;

- studied combat rules and strategies.

The session concluded with sparring sessions. Anyone who wished to do so had the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills to the test under the supervision of an experienced master and faculty members from the department.
