Binary lesson in the academic discipline «Criminal process»
Today, the teacher of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Forensics of OSUIA, Haiane Koval, conducted a binary class on the academic discipline «Criminal Procedure» on the topic «Litigation».
The class was held in the format of staging a court session, at which the cadets acted as defenders, the prosecutor, the victim and other participants in criminal proceedings, which gave them the opportunity not only to consolidate theoretical knowledge, but also to acquire practical skills of participating in the court process.
Practicing lawyer Oleksii Nikishev, lawyer of the Attorneys Association «INTELLEX», doctor of philosophy, was invited to conduct the class, who shared his own experience of participating in court sessions, drew attention to the tactics of the defense and the realities of the lawyer's work in modern criminal proceedings.
Thanks to this format, the cadets gained valuable practical experience, developed legal argumentation skills and brought their studies closer to future professional activities.
