Binary Class on “Digital Traces in Criminal Analysis”

A binary class entitled “Digital Traces in Criminal Analysis” was held for third-year cadets of the Educational and Research Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine at the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.
The event was initiated by the Research Laboratory on Topical Issues of Criminal Analysis and the Department of Criminal Analysis and Information Technologies.

The class was delivered by:
- Yurii Lemeshko, Head of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv Region, Police Colonel;
- Andrii Servatovskyi, Deputy Head of a Division of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv Region, Police Major.

During the session, cadets became acquainted with the practical aspects of identifying, analyzing, and using digital traces in the activities of criminal police units, as well as with real-life cases from operational and service practice.

Such classes are an important element of the professional training of future police officers, as they combine theoretical knowledge with the practical experience of field professionals.
