Binary seminar on the academic discipline «Advocacy in Ukraine»

On October 16, Viktoriia Sirko, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative and Legal Disciplines at OSUIA, held a binary seminar on the academic discipline «Advocacy in Ukraine» for third-year students of the Institute of Law and Security. Dmytro Bakulin, a practicing lawyer and member of the National Association of Advocates of Ukraine, was invited to participate in the event.

The seminar covered topical issues related to the organization of legal practice, ethical standards of the profession, peculiarities of interaction between lawyers and pre-trial investigation bodies and courts, as well as practical aspects of drafting legal requests, complaints, and procedural documents.

Lawyer Dmytro Bakulin shared his own experience of conducting cases in civil and criminal proceedings, focused on typical mistakes made by young lawyers, and answered questions from applicants about real challenges in professional practice.
