Department of State and Legal Disciplines

 

The Department of State and Legal Disciplines is a structural unit of the Institute of Law and Security of Odessa State University of Internal Affairs. It conducts educational, training, and methodological activities in the specialties of “Law” and “Law Enforcement,” and carries out scientific and research activities with the aim of providing fundamental legal training to qualified legal professionals.

 

The main tasks of the department are:

 

to organize and implement, at the appropriate scientific and methodological levels, the educational and training process in state and legal disciplines with the aim of training highly qualified specialists; 

 

conducting scientific research in the department's field of expertise, training scientific and teaching staff, and improving their qualifications;

 

 providing organizational support and conducting educational work with students and graduate students.

 

These tasks are accomplished by integrating theoretical education and practical training, and fully and effectively applying all elements of the educational process, taking into account the capabilities of modern information technologies.

 

The department has a scientific student club called “The Power of Law,” whose activities are aimed at developing research skills, broadening scientific interests, and improving the level of professional training of students. 

 

Under the guidance of the department's scientific and pedagogical staff, scientific work is carried out, which consists of preparing scientific articles, participating in scientific conferences and round tables.
