Meeting of graduating cadets with the head of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Odesa region Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine
Today, a meeting was held at OSUIA between graduating cadets and the head of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Odesa region of the Strategic Investigations Department (SID) of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Colonel Artur Makarov.
During the meeting, the practitioner familiarized future officers with the activities of the SID. He spoke about the main tasks of the unit, including the detection, suppression, and prevention of socially dangerous organized groups and criminal organizations that influence the crime situation in the country and in its individual regions.
The SID uses a strategic approach focused on dismantling criminal structures, rather than just arresting individual perpetrators», said Artur Makarov.
The head of the department emphasized that under the legal regime of martial law, the unit's activities are also aimed at countering criminal offenses against the foundations of national security, such as collaboration, treason, aiding an aggressor state, sabotage, and obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The head shared his professional experience and talked about the interaction between the Strategic Investigations Department and the Security Service of Ukraine, State Bureau of Investigations, and National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
