On October 20, at the initiative of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of OSUIA, a meeting was held between cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU and the Deputy Head of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kherson Region, Lieutenant Colonel of Police Chermen Tuskaiev.

During the lecture, cadets learned about the specifics of conducting criminal proceedings in occupied and de-occupied territories, as well as the organization of investigative units.

Chermen Tuskaiev cited interesting examples from cases involving investigations into collaboration, crimes against life and health in the Kherson region during the armed conflict.

Particular attention was paid to the specifics of documenting and conducting investigative (search) activities, using information from open sources, proceedings in absentia, and cooperation between pre-trial investigation bodies and other units of the National Police and law enforcement agencies.

Such meetings with stakeholders are important for higher education applicants to obtain up-to-date information on the activities of practical departments and the implementation of current legislation in professional activities.
