Deputy Head of Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office Conducts Training Session for Odesa State University of Internal Affairs Cadets
On 13 February, Andriy Kovalenko, First Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, conducted a training session for third-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.
The meeting focused on the role of the prosecutor’s office within the law enforcement system under martial law, as well as practical aspects of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office’s activities during the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
During the session, the specifics of procedural supervision in criminal proceedings related to war crimes, offenses against the foundations of national security, and cases of collaboration were highlighted. Special attention was given to proper documentation of evidence, cooperation between prosecutors, investigators, and operational units, as well as ensuring legality and the protection of human rights under martial law.
Cadets had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss practical challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in the region.
