Participation in the EUAM training «Tactics and organization of work at the crime scene»

Dmytro AFONIN, Head of the research laboratory for Topical Issues of Criminal Analysis of the Main Department of Internal Affairs, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, participated and delivered a lecture at the training «Tactics and organization of work at the crime scene», which was held for investigators from the territorial units of the Main Department of the National Police in Mykolaiv region.

 

The event was organized by the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) Ukraine with the support of Andrii Markov, Prosecution Reform Adviser, EUAM Ukraine, and Desiree Hufnagel (Austria), Criminal Investigations Adviser, EUAM Ukraine.

 

 

Lecture topic: «Peculiarities of conducting a crime scene inspection during the investigation of shelling (explosions) of civilian objects». The lecture was practical and provided investigators with new knowledge on the methodology of examining the scene, collecting evidence and documenting war crimes. Particular attention was paid to working in high-risk conditions and the use of modern forensic methods.

 

 

During the event, the participants actively participated in the discussions, asked questions and shared their own experiences, which made the lecture interactive and productive. The knowledge gained will help to improve the efficiency of investigations and help investigators to act more quickly and professionally in emergency situations.
