Training on Preventing and Combating Gender-Based and Domestic Violence Starts at OSUIA
On April 7, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs hosted a training on “Preventing and Combating Gender-Based and Domestic Violence,” organized in cooperation with the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) for police officers from the National Police in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
Olena Kovalova, Professor of the Department of Police Administration, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, and Major of Police, is the trainer of the event.
The participants also had the opportunity to talk to international experts from EUAM:
Georgios Pokas (Greece), EUAM Senior Adviser on General Policing;
Jan Danco (Slovakia), EUAM Community Policing Adviser/Trainer.
The event is aimed at raising awareness and professional training of police officers in the field of countering violence.
