Department of General Legal Disciplines
The Department of General Legal Disciplines is a structural unit of the Faculty of Training of Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs and conducts educational and methodological activities in the specialties of "Law", "Law Enforcement Activities" and "Psychology" and carries out scientific and research activities in order to ensure fundamental legal training of qualified legal specialists.
The Department of General Legal Disciplines ensures the formation of the language of law, legal thinking and legal interpretation among education seekers as the basis for future professional activity.
The main goal of the department is by participating in the professional training of police specialists, to promote their respect for law, human rights, the Constitution of Ukraine, as well as an understanding of the fundamental principles of political science and jurisprudence.
The main tasks of the department are: organizing and implementing the educational process at the appropriate scientific and methodological levels; conducting scientific research in the department's profile; providing assistance to the university management, faculties and courses in organizing and conducting educational work with cadets.
Maintaining a high level of training of future specialists is ensured by the constant creative search of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department, the introduction of the latest educational methods and innovative teaching aids, as well as the active cooperation of the department with other scientific and practical units of the legal profile both in Ukraine and abroad.
The teaching staff of the department contributes to the development of the worldview of education seekers, the development of their active position in the socio-political and legal life of the country.
