Working meeting with EUAM representatives

On August 19, representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission came to Odessa State University of Internal Affairs to visit the Cyberspace Monitoring Center and the Research Laboratory on Criminal Analysis in response to a request from the University for assistance with trainings and material support.

img_2321The event was attended by foreign experts: Kiril Milev (citizen of the Republic of Bulgaria), Senior Advisor on Cybercrime; Palo Mart (citizen of the Republic of Estonia), Senior Advisor on Organized Crime; Heike Kottmann (citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany), Adviser / Trainer on Criminal Investigations, as well as Ukrainian EUAM representative Bohdan Denysenko, expert on specialized law enforcement agencies.

img_2324In addition, the event was attended by Heads of practical units of Odessa region in the field of cybersecurity, staff organization and criminal analysis: Yevgenii Rudkovskii, Deputy Head of the Office of Organizational Analytical Support and Operational Response of  GDNP in Odessa region; Oleksii Voloshko, Head of the Criminal Analysis Unit of the GDNP in Odessa region; Lev Lefterov, Head of the Second Department of the Department of Information Technology and Programming in the Southern Region of the Department of Cyber Police of Ukraine.

img_2331First of all, the guests were introduced to the rector of Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Law, Assistant Professor third-ranked general of police Ivan Katerynchuk, who expressed his hope for further fruitful cooperation between EUAM and OSUIA.

Head of the Department of Cyber Security and Information Support, Head of the Research Laboratory on Problems of Criminal Analysis, PhD in Law, Major of Police Karen Ismailov introduced to the participants the project of a training and practical information-analytical center,img_2330 the purpose of which is to complete confrontation of crime and implementation of theoretical knowledge of cadets on a practical basis.

img_2334During the presentation, the role of the analytical center, its function and importance for the practical units of the National Police was identified.

In addition, the guests were acquainted with the work of the Cyberspace Monitoring Center and the Research Laboratory on Problems of Criminal Analysis and demonstrated the fulfillment of the main tasks aimed at achieving the set goals.

The event was held in a working and friendly atmosphere, and its proper organization allowed for fruitful work.
