Ukraine – NATO: Partnership for Peace and Security

On March, 13 a briefing session was organized by leading specialist of faculty #2 Lieutenant Colonel of Police Roman Terezyuk with cadets of the 2nd and 3rd year of faculty #2 « Ukraine – NATO: Partnership for Peace and Security» in the framework of the 70th anniversary from the founding of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the 25th anniversary from the launch of  NATO Program «Partnership for Peace».

6-2During the event, particular attention was paid to the diversity of tasks, which set before the Alliance: from organizing collective security to supporting the advancement of scientific progress for providing  peace. In addition, the development of relations between Ukraine and NATO, prospects of deepening cooperation of our country with the military-political Alliance, also familiarized with other programs of the Organization like «Partnership for Peace», Professional development program for civilian personnel, Individual Partnership Program in which Ukraine participateswas analyzed.

The topic caused a lively discussion within the framework of which were raised such important issues for Ukrainian society like the development of technical progress and the place of Ukraine in it, NATO’s support for the development of science for peaceful purposes, modern security challenges and peaceful ways of resolving or preventing conflicts by improving the scientific base and stimulating researchers.
