The EUMC in Odessa was visited by cadets of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs

On January 26,  Department of International Cooperation together with Language Training  Department of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs organized a visit of  cadets to the Regional Office of the European Union Advisory Mission in Odessa.

Speakers at the event were Georgios Pokas (Greece), Senior Adviser on General Policing/Coach at EUAM Ukraine and Kari Lamberg (Finland), Senior Adviser on Prosecution at EUAM Ukraine. Classes were held exclusively in English.

The students were told about the peculiarities of the investigation of corruption in the EU countries and the ways of its prevention, and also about the cooperation of law enforcement agencies at the international level.

Of particular interest were problem-solving models and the 3Cs (Communication, Coordination, Cooperation) concept, which sparked a lively discussion. Foreign colleagues paid great attention to issues of professional growth and continuous self-improvement.

During the meeting, the cadets had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers and received comprehensive answers. At the end of the event, the Head of the Department of International Cooperation Alla Bochevar thanked the mission representatives for the opportunity to gain European experience and continuous support of the university’s initiatives.
